First time coming here and I was SO IMPRESSED! The food was absolutely delectable and we had the kindest waitress I’ve ever had. Lots of options to choose from and many vegetarian options. Had a slight accident in the kitchen with our order but our waitress was extremely kind and apologized. They gave us a free dessert. All in all this is a well-managed restaurant with very kind servers and amazing food. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Came to Barcelona to celebrate my birthday with a large party of 8. Originally, there was some issues with the booking, but the manager accommodated us for the inconvenience and we had an AMAZING dinner! The entire staff was attentive and kind. The manager was understanding and generous. Such a great experience. Definitely coming back to celebrate next year. Thank you, Barcelona!

4.3. A good experience all around, with some room for improvement. Having been to the Barcelona in Boston we came in having pretty high expectations. Food - pretty solid, as with anywhere some dishes better than others. Highly recommend the olives and the artichokes and trying lots of tapas. We also ordered the chicken and paella at our servers recommendation (he said it was life changing chicken) they told us it would take a half hour which was totally fine because everything else came out so, so quickly it was nice to be able to chat a bit. They have lovely cocktails and mocktails but the servers seemed really confused when bringing our drinks (granted it was a different server than the one who took our order). Service - attentive but confusing. We had multiple people greet us and ask the same questions. Lack of communication between the servers around who is taking care of what table. The service was really kind nonetheless, the food came very quickly (almost too quickly)! They offered more bread but it never came and the plates would be cleared the second the last bite was removed. Almost seemed like they needed the plates back! Atmosphere- the vibe here is good but some of the tables have less of a vibe depending on where they’re situated. Overall they make a really nice effort to keep the vibes positive and the space fun. iPads for the servers definitely take away from the experience in some ways.

Amongst the best places for a wonderful culinary experience in New Haven! The ambience is wonderful and the lighting done just right. You are served bread and olive oil upon being seated - probably the best kind of its kind available in town . The food menu is seasonal and while there are some staples, a lot of it changes over time, allowing you to experience new dishes. I would be apprehensive about the uncertainty but this change is almost always amazing. You can rest assured that whatever you order will be extremely well thought out and brilliantly executed (the dishes taste even better than they look)! The cocktails and drink selections are done wonderfully as well and there aren't many ways to go wrong with any selection. All in all, a great destination for a special occasion - well worth every single penny you spend!

I very much enjoy this place! Went to Barcelona in Boston a couple times and the new haven location was pretty similar and did not disappoint. Love the dark lowkey ambiance. The servers were very nice and there was this one guy walking on top of the bar giving people free jungle juice. (They cleaned the counters after he walked all over it) The food was pretty good. Saw some things that i had gotten in boston eg. Paella and shishito peppers. Got the branzino which was really good but there are lots of bones in em. Lots of potato dishes. Grilled brocollini not too good tbh. But the asparagus is chefs kiss

Held a private party here for 20 people. The room doesn't have solid walls, and the heavy curtain does keep our some sound, but on a Friday night it is lively. We had selected a menu ahead of time. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions. We had an original and vegetarian paella which was delicious. The charcuterie board had a nice assortment of meats and cheeses. The meats were well-cooked, desserts were on point. I'd definitely go back to eat here any time. And I would have a private event here again as well. The staff was attentive and personable.
